Welcome to the Norfolk & Plymouth Estate and Business Planning Council

The Norfolk and Plymouth County Estate and Business Planning Council (NPEPC) was established on October 13, 1976.  The NPEPC is an interdisciplinary organization for professionals involved in estate planning. Since its inception, in 1976, the Council's primary objective has been to provide a better understanding of the services performed by attorneys, life underwriters, trust officers, accountants, financial advisors, planned giving professionals and others substantially involved in estate planning and to promote cooperation among them.  Our meetings provide a medium for discussion of various, up-to-date estate planning topics of common interest. In addition to the excellent educational information and technical content, our meetings afford our members the opportunity to network, meet old friends and make new ones within the Norfolk and Plymouth County professional community

Mission & Purpose

The purpose of the Norfolk & Plymouth Estate and Business Planning Council is:

  • to promote cooperative efforts in the fields of estate and business planning among the professions and business enterprises represented by the members, always keeping in mind the interests of their clients;
  • to engage in study, discussions, meetings and additional activities which will continuously improve their combined services;
  • to promote respect and understanding of the relationships among the professions and business enterprises represented by its members and;
  • to advance public knowledge of the concept of estate and business planning.

Accredited Estate Planner® Designation

Professional estate planners can now achieve an accreditation that acknowledges their experience and specialization in estate planning.The Accredited Estate Planner® designation is available to attorneys, Chartered Life Underwriters, Certified Public Accountants, Certified Trust and Financial Advisors, Chartered Financial Consultants, and Certified Financial Planners®. The AEP® designation is awarded by the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils to recognized estate planning professionals who meet special requirements of education, experience, knowledge, professional reputation, and character.    READ MORE HERE
